Basically the NIS GPU scaling feature costs you performance when enabled in the control panel EVEN IF you're playing a native with 0% sharpening.

I could probably find it searching around YT, but my recollection is when the new sharpen feature came out at the driver level some people tested it VS the overlay and found the control panel option a bit less taxing (for whatever reason).
